Dean’s Message
When languages and literature was established at Shaikh Zayed University, numbers of challenges were existed like absence of good venue and building, teachers and administrative staff, but this faculty never gave up its hope, and those responsible of the time made it possible through their volunteer commitment by finding standard building and professional lecturers, and now it is one of the valuable and prestigious department of the SZU family.
The overall staff of languages and literature faculty is committed to perform their duties without any prejudice and implement whatever is worthy in the rules, regulation and standards of the higher education of Afghanistan. It is an honor and privilege training students who will always be committed to work under urgent and sever conditions pertaining to the constitution of Afghanistan, and making this country a proud country of the world. We have already been introduced many good personalities to national and international communities and will strive more to do so. As the journey of progress and success is incomplete without valuable and constructive suggestions of the community members, therefore, we will be pleased and grateful from your valuable and constructive suggestions pertaining to consolidation of this journey.
Dean’s Biography
Hadi ur Rahman Hadi, M.A., serves as Dean of Shaikh Zayed University's Faculty of Languages and Literature (LIT) since July 1, 2020. As Faculty’s chief executive officer, he leads over 47 lecturers (full time and contract), 2 staff members, and over 550 undergraduate students. Hadi holds responsibility for managing five departments, 9 committees, and a teaching directorate office
Mr. Hadi’s academic research focuses on higher education management and leadership, teacher education, and second language learning strategies. He has published in many leading education journals and other publications.
